Accessibility statement.

Our commitment to making this site usable for everyone, and how to reach us if something isn’t working for you.

Our commitment

Direct Performance Physical Therapy is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the HHS Section 504 rule and widely used as the benchmark for accessible websites.

Measures we’ve taken

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, a skip-to-content link, and a logical heading structure on every page
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, and interactive components, with visible focus indicators
  • Color combinations checked against WCAG’s minimum contrast ratios
  • Motion and auto-scrolling content that respects your operating system’s reduced-motion setting and can be paused
  • Forms with labeled fields, clear instructions, and errors that are announced, not just shown in color

This is an ongoing effort. We review the site for accessibility on a regular basis and after any significant update, and we treat accessibility issues with the same priority as any other bug.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of this site are not fully within our control:

  • Our Google reviews widget is provided by a third party (Elfsight). If it fails to load, a text alternative and a direct link to our Google reviews are shown in its place.
  • Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube’s own player controls and captioning; caption availability depends on YouTube and the original video.
  • A small number of downloadable PDF guides on this site have not yet been reviewed for tagging and screen-reader accessibility. If you need the information in one of these PDFs in another format, contact us below and we’ll get it to you.

Let us know

If you use assistive technology and run into any part of this site that doesn’t work the way it should, we want to hear about it. Contact us using any of the methods below and we’ll respond within 5 business days.
