Dr. Amanda Davidson, DPT, MTC, CMTPT earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with honors from University of St. Augustine in 2013 where the curriculum is heavily focused on manual therapy. Prior to PT school, she graduated summa cum laude from Clemson in 2011 with her B.S. in Health Science.
Since graduation, Amanda has taken multiple continuing education courses focusing on manual therapy such as joint mobilization, spinal manipulation, myofascial release, and trigger point dry needling. She received her Manual Therapy Certification from University of St. Augustine in 2015 and became certified in Dry Needling in 2017. She has also taken advanced courses in treating the crossfit athlete, running rehabilitation, and running analysis. Women’s health is another area that Amanda specializes in, particularly exercise during pregnancy and returning to exercise postpartum.
Amanda has been an avid runner since high school, completing race distances from 5Ks to marathons. Her passion for running has carried over into her career as she seeks courses and the latest research on treating injured runners. She uses video gait analysis and an in depth functional evaluation to determine the root cause of an athlete’s pain. She is also passionate about helping women return to and continue to compete in their desired sport or activity postpartum. Amanda has two young children and has experienced this first hand over the past couple of years. She enjoys treating all types of orthopedic and sports injuries enabling patients to return to the activities they love.
