Dr. David Furrow earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University in 2019. He received his B.S. with honors from Christopher Newport University in 2016 where he was also an All-State/Conference offensive lineman for CNU’s football team.

Since graduating Dr. Furrow has attained additional expertise through continuing education and certifications. He is currently a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (2019) meaning he is an expert in the identification and treatment of myofascial trigger points using Dry Needling. Dr. Furrow is also a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS, 2022) which highlights his expertise to work with athletes in all environments and treat them from the moment of injury throughout rehabilitation until ultimate return to sport. His other continuing education has included Medical Management of the Fitness Athlete and instruction in mastering spinal manipulation techniques.

Dr. Furrow has continued to stay engaged in and promote his profession by serving as the American Physical Therapist Association of VA Tidewater District Treasurer (2020-2022) and Co-Director (2021-Present). Outside of practice Dr. Furrow is an avid sports fan, outdoors enthusiast, and enjoys recreational fitness. He is a passionate member of the Direct Performance Team always looking to elevate himself and those around him to the next level.
