Dr. Sean Neighbarger

DPT

Dr. Sean Neighbarger earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2024, following receipt of a B.S.Ed. in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in 2021. Sean was a member and served as captain of the Men’s Gymnastics Team at OSU, providing him experience with high level sports performance and leadership. This, in combination with his clinical training in the Orthopedic and Neurologic settings have given Sean a unique perspective on how to treat patients with a wide variety of conditions and physical abilities from a holistic perspective to help them achieve their functional goals. Sean remains active in the sport of gymnastics by coaching competitive boy’s gymnastics, where he focuses on maximizing sports performance and promoting injury prevention.

Sean values developing patient autonomy by prioritizing patient education in his clinical treatment. As a long-term patient himself through his athletic career, Sean understands the importance of having autonomy over one’s recovery process and aims to create a true understanding of what the therapy process is aiming to achieve and the mode in which it will do so. Sean continues seeking to widen his knowledge and clinical skill set with continuing education courses, focusing on both manual and exercise based interventions.
